One Room Reopened!
Have you been dreaming about visiting the beautiful and picturesque Scotland but not sure where to start? We have you covered. We are going to combine two of the best things Scotland has to offer...Edinburgh AND the Highlands!
Join us for two nights in Edinburgh where we will explore Old Town, New Town and tour Edinburgh Castle. After eating, shopping, sightseeing and doing all of Edinburgh, we will retreat to a luxury country estate on Loch Tay in the Highlands for five nights.
Location
Our two nights in Edinburgh will be spent at the Kimpton on Charlotte's Square. It is a fun hotel where tradition meets contemporary in eclectic style. From the hotel, you can walk to New Town, Old Town, the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle. If you prefer, the hotel can call you a taxi. If your feet get tired, you can head back to the hotel for a massage in the full service spa.
Our home for the next five nights will be Stucktaymore luxury country estate on the shores of Loch Tay. The estate has everything we need for a comfortable stay. All rooms are spacious and have ensuite bathrooms. The estate has outdoor seating and a hot tub, and the extensive grounds contain manicured lawns with fruit trees, plus an enchanted forest with walkways, statues and fire pits. There is also access across the fields to the lochside for wild water swimming. The area of Morenish is 1.7 miles away where there is a beach. The town of Killin is 3 miles away and has a beautiful 9 hole golf course and a famous waterfall. All accessible by local taxi or on foot if you're up for a hike. If you are up for a bigger hike, Ben Lawers Mountain is only a couple miles away. It has several different trails and is very popular with hikers.

Cuisine
Our welcome dinner in Edinburgh will be at Bon Vivant, a cozy warm restaurant and bar within walking distance of our hotel. The menu has small bites, charcuterie boards and a full range of Scottish entrees from meat to seafood to vegan.
The Kimpton Hotel will provide a delicious complimentary full Scottish made to order breakfast for the two mornings we will be there. We are invited to join happy hour in the hotel bar at 5:00 PM both evenings for a complimentary beverage and small nibbles.
Our last dinner in Edinburgh will be at Baba at the Kimpton Hotel. Baba is a fusion of flavors from the Middle East blended with traditional Scottish cuisine. You will indulge in everything from haggis to falafel to chicken to lamb enhanced with the aromatic spices from the Middle East.
We will enjoy 3 delicious and nutritious meals a day prepared by our own private chef from Geranium and Thyme while at our estate in the Highlands. The exception will be when we are on day trips where we will eat lunch on our own.
Activities and Excursions
We will begin and end most days with yoga. Our morning practice will be a lively and energetic flow to get us open and ready for our day. Evening yoga will be a wind down practice with more restorative and yin postures to help us relax and restore from our day's activities before dinner.
While in Edinburgh, we will have private access to Charlotte Square Park (See Photo), across the street from the hotel, where we will practice yoga.

Once we retreat to the Highlands, we will have a yoga room in our estate. Of course, there will be an abundance of outdoor spaces as well.
A visit to Edinburgh would not be complete without seeing the Edinburgh Castle. Our Group will visit on our second day in Edinburgh,
Afterwards, we will have plenty of time to explore the area outside of the castle including Old Town and the Royal Mile.
The Highlands are known for their emerald green rolling hills and numerous lochs but they also have many lovely towns, two of which we plan to visit.

The first will be Aberfeldy, just a wee bit North of where we will be staying. On the way, we will stop to visit the Croft Moraig Stone Circle. We will tour Castle Menzies, a spectacular sixteenth century Scottish castle, restored during the twentieth century by the Menzies Clan Society.

The second town will be Pitlochry which is known for its shops, cafes and distilleries. We will leave you to explore the town as you choose.
Our home in the Highlands, Stucktaymore Estates, is located on one of the largest lakes in Perthshire, Loch Tay. We will have our own private guided tour of the lake, learning about the history and the surroundings.

For the outdoor enthusiasts, there is always more to do outside during your stay!

Ben Lawers Mountain has many popular hiking trails and is located just a couple of miles from our estate.

Killin Golf Course is 3 miles away and the beach on Loch Tay is also about 3 miles away.

You can grab a friend, call a taxi and have your own adventure!
